Hey guys! I am very excited to show you my latest diy. My mother and I did this for my grandmother's back porch. We did so many affordable projects for her porch and it is very exciting to share and hopeful inspire you all.

This table was free. My aunt got word that a college near by was giving away all of their old furniture. The table does have several dents and dings. We used a hammered spray paint to hide all of the imperfections.

Here is another view of the table.
Picture
I spray painted the table in my grandparent's garage. It is very cold in Chicago now so I won't be doing much outside work anymore.
Picture
After we spray painted the table. We took the top off of the table to attach the contact paper.

We took the top off and placed it to the side.

We used a marble contact paper. My mom had this for years. You can find similar contact paper from Amazon for less than $10. When you lay your contact paper out, you want it to be as flat as possible. You want to smooth out any air bubbles. This will take at least 5-10 minutes to get the paper as smooth as possible.
Picture
After you place you conact paper on your table top, you need to reattach the table top to the table. Make sure you smooth the ends before you insert the table top.

Here is the finished product.

Total Cost: $15
This would include the cost of contact paper and also spray paint.

Here is the before and after of the encouragement wall. We added a bookcase that I painted yellow and added washi tape to. Washi tape is the best! thing since sliced bread!
Picture
Here is the shelving area. The before was so doom and gloom. The after is a mix of patterns which I love. My grandmother use to made the ceramics on the top shelf. She made ceramics for most of my life and she is pretty good at it.
Picture
Now lets move on to this terrible floor. I always hated this floor its too dark for a back porch area in my opinion, I am a fan of light floors.
Picture
Here is the finished product. I really like the color and texture of this peel and stick. This is the easier way to update a floor. You do not need any skill level to put down this floor.
Picture
The curtains were such a nice touch!! Also, they were super affordable at $6 a panel. The table is my favorite project. A little spray paint goes a long way.
Picture
This clock use to live in my kitchen but I have since updated my kitchen decor. I gifted this beauty to my grandmother and she really loves it. She also made the ceramics on the wall.
Picture
The sectional is from Value City and it is very comfortable. Its like the recliners at the new AMC theaters. I think I want one now for my house.
Picture
This project turned out much better than I expected. We went into this project with a small plan but it turned out much bigger. My family really chipped in and made all this happen for our Queen Grandmother. It is an amazing feeling when you make you loved ones happy!! Well I hope you enjoyed this blog and I will see you in the next one.
